Description of the course :

Sex is one of the most powerful—and avoided—topics in couples therapy.

While therapists are well-trained to work with emotion and attachment, many feel unsure how to bring sex into the conversation in a way that is both clinically effective and emotionally safe. As a result, a critical dimension of the couple’s bond often goes unaddressed.

In this dynamic workshop, George will guide you in working with the often overlooked—but essential—third attachment system of romantic love: the sexual system. You’ll learn how the sexual attachment system interacts with the emotional and caregiving attachment systems to create predictable patterns of interaction.  Armed with an attachment MAP to integrate what happens inside and outside the bedroom, therapists can help couples transform shame, pressure, and avoidance into deeper connection.

Through practical interventions, case examples, and step-by-step guidance, you’ll gain tools you can use immediately to:

  • Bring sex into the therapy room with clarity and confidence

  • Identify and de-escalate negative sexual cycles

  • Work effectively with desire discrepancies and sexual avoidance

  • Help partners express vulnerability and respond with caregiving

  • Strengthen both emotional and sexual bonds using an attachment lens

  • Hit the target of great sex and sexual secure attachment

When therapists can skillfully address sex, they don’t just improve intimacy—they help couples build more secure, resilient relationships.  Learn how to turn Brave Love and Great Sex into a lived reality.
